Sunday Link Love v8
Sunday link love on a Monday you may ask? Well I had the post pretty much written but didn’t publish on Sunday because I knew I had to come in to work really early so I wanted to finish it up then. Anyway, I think what I’m going to do is publish my next link love post at about 10:00 AM on Sunday.
Ok let’s look at some of the posts I liked during the week:
The first one comes from a relative regular for the link love sessions – Brian wrote about how to generate leads to your new website and the thing I liked the most about this post is that he centered it around an actual website example. On this blog here I strive to post with examples as frequently as possible because general advice isn’t enough sometimes, so I’m glad to see Brian adheres to that philosophy in most of his posts as well.
The next link comes as a bit of a downer. The owner of the affiliate post has given up and decided to give away his blog after it only fetched $200 in a Sitepoint auction. He hasn’t announced a winner yet although it will be announced. So if you don’t have a blog go write a comment on his post as to why you should win it and you may have a chance to still get it. The post touches on several issues that highlight how difficult it is to maintain a blog and why many times it isn’t worth it. I personally really enjoy blogging and while I only made $205 last month I know that figure will continue to grow as long as I continue to write about topics that matter.
Our next post comes from a blogger I’ve been following for a while. Steven has a knack for writing posts that beg to be submitted to various social media sites such as digg and stumble upon. He put together a list of the ten icon sets for social media sites. So if you’re looking for a more unique look to your social media icons be sure to check out his post.
The next post comes from Paul the inspired money maker who wrote a guest post on Tyler Cruz’s blog which contains a lot of tips on beginner affiliate marketing strategies.
Finally, if you haven’t heard by now (and I’d be really surprised if you haven’t) the one man blog Bankaholic.com was sold for $15 million dollars on what many people are saying a relatively low level of traffic. However, Shane does a great job of piecing together elements from other bloggers that show why Bankaholic sold for $15 million.
Be sure to subscribe to my RSS feed this week as I continue to chronicle my journey as an internet marketer while outlining the ideas I’ve found to be successful. If you have a post that you would like to see featured on next week’s link love edition than please contact me. If it’s good I’ll mention it.

Wow, that’s a lot of news for the week. I’m really excited about the banking website selling for so much, especially after opening BullishBankers.com… which is another high-quality financial community. Thanks for the run down!

Lots of useful links indeed! Frankly though, I’m not impressed or inspired by anyone that “gives up”, and probably not a good idea to publicize that fact when trying to sell a blog.
