Sunday Link Love v4
With this latest installment of my Sunday Link Love posts I’m happy to say that I’ve consistently been at it for a month! I really enjoy doing these posts and can’t believe I didn’t start sooner! In any case, I’m doing it now and I don’t ever plan on stopping.
Big Ben Patton wrote an interesting post on his foray into site flipping. Your can check out part 1 and part 2. While I think with a little more time he could have made a lot more money on the flip I know that he was trying to do it in 24 hours. I sold one of my small forums back in February for $600 via DigitalPoint forums, I probably could have made more doing it on SitePoint and I’m certainly going to take that into consideration for future sales.
Normal Joe shares how to reach success through teamwork and having the right friends. Great post and video (lol at the Bubble Yum sponsor). He’s right though it’s so important to network with other bloggers and like minded individuals that will help you be successful.
The University Kid answers the question – Should you buy traffic for you blog? and I agree with his answer for the most part. However, I would rephrase his bold statement to say the following:
The only time you should buy traffic is when you can directly make money off those visitors. (If that is your intent).
I believe if you want to drive more traffic to your blog paying for that traffic is a good option. However, you aren’t going to make up that money. Your goal may be to convert those visitors into RSS subscribers.
Henry offered some tips on finding .edu blogs for backlinks on Google. Great tip both on the Google search method you posted and the FireFox plugin mentioned as well.
Mattaw over at MoneyBites posed the question, “Are you a dreamer or a doer?” This is good motivation for those of us that struggle with general laziness or a lack of drive to get things done.
