Is it just me or does DealDotCom suck?
DealDotCom was supposed to be the Woot! of digital goods, internet marketing / blogging tools etc; however, it’s just not quite lived up to it’s goal. The only time I ever posted about DealDotCom before was when I wrote about a great deal on the OIOPublisher plugin. (they had it for $15 on DealDotCom) and a deal on the WPAuctions plugin (read my review here).
Now look at the most recent headlines from the emails that are sent out on a near daily basis:

Find the people begging to spend
Unleash a TIDAL WAVE of traffic onto your site
Stuff your wallet with the push of a button
A time saving, profit earning tool
The 800 pound gorilla
The most essential part of every online store
You could make a killing with this
Instant Viral Traffic!
This is the kick in the rear all of us need
What are we doing? Just giving this stuff away?
RULE the Search Engines
I put the extra awesome email headlines in bold as you can see above. Do you really think that you can learn to make money from products that are pitched in emails with the above titles? It’s as if I’m sitting on my couch well into the wee hours of the night watching a crappy infomercial. Perhaps there just isn’t enough good stuff out there worth buying? Maybe the people selling it realize that DealDotCom is just one long terrible infomercial and they don’t want their products associated with it. Either way I haven’t seen anything worth while come from DealDotCom in a long time. The only thing they have going for them is a 30 day return policy, although you never know how difficult it may be to get your money back.
