First, Let me tell you a little about myself. I have been designing websites for almost 8 years (that's like 30 in Internet years)! That's right, since 1995 I have been developing professional websites! But it wasn't easy... I was working 60, 70, and sometimes even 80 hours a week just to make ends meet. Clients not paying me on time...
I had a client that would only agree to paying me once the project was done... but after 2 months of hard work he refused to pay, saying he no longer had the money! Some customers would try to tell me my work wasn't "good enough" and they would try to get me to lower the price after the work was done. I had to come up with contracts even though I had no experience with the legal side of the business...

Having to compete against 13 year olds...
I found that a large portion of the web designers are teenagers willing to design sites for a heck of a lot less than I am! Clients would try to get me to lower my price because they said they could find someone willing to do it for $50! I had to find a way to convince them that you get what you pay for...

Trying to find more clients...
It was always a never-ending battle to find a consistent flow of clients to keep the money rolling in. I had to find a way to get clients to come to ME...
